Question Hi, I am a graphic design student from liverpool. for my dissertation (due in a couple of weeks) i am writing about the topic of sustainable design. As part of this my tutor has asked me to include in my appendix a detailed outline of "recycle" laws governing paper manufacture. He suggested i may be able to download this from a paper merchant, if you could point me in the right direction or forward me a copy this would be a great help. Question Hi there I am a student studying graphic design in Portsmouth, England. For my major research project I am looking into the production of paper and its co2 emissions. I am trying to find statistics on what stages of paper production causes what percentage of co2 emissions. i.e 20% distribution, 40% paper milling. Question The forest industry should not issue ambiguous messages. When they promote the use of FSC/PEFC automatic they send a negative message to the general public, because it appears that all remaining fibers are not completely sustainable. We know that all the European forests are well managed, therefore we should use only one language, saying that the European product is OK, although certification involves only a part of the total output.
